The Cost of Living, by David Moody

A series of short stories told as if there could be a different ending to the problem. The problem or route of the issue is that there is a plague out in the world and it is very similar to a zombie break out.

I thought that the story was unique enough and captured the actual fears of what a father who barely knows his family would do to solve the issue, and a wife with kids who just obey what is told even though they all know that they will run out of rations or attacked by the infected mob.

Definitely a good read to pass the time.
